I am currently in Antigua, Guatemala, visiting my mother. I finished exams last Thursday, flew out on Friday, and took the bus to Antigua on Saturday. We have already hiked to Cero de la Cruz (the cross on the hill above Antigua), spent several hours haggling the Mayan men and women at the markets, and hiked up Volcan Pacaya to get within about 30 feet of the lava flows. We will be traveling to Tikal at the end of the week, and I am really excited about the photographs that should come out of that. I've already gotten some pretty awesome pictures in only two days, and I've still got 15 more in the country. Expect to see lots of postings over the next two weeks!
